Kamo Wakeikazuchi Jinja Shrine

Kamigamo Jinja Shrine is the oldest shrine in Kyoto, and its entire grounds are registered as a World Heritage Site. The main enshrined deity is believed to have a very powerful thunder power that can remove all kinds of bad luck. The deity also protects the electric industry, so this shrine is especially recommended to people in the industry.

Ro-Mon:The beautiful red Ro-Mon gate of the main sanctuary and Tama Bashi Bridge in front of it are both classified by the Japanese government as the National Important Cultural Property.
Hoso-Dono and Tatesuna:Hoso-Dono is a resting place that was built only for the imperial family. The conical sand mound called Tatesuna, on which the thunder deity is believed to descend is placed in front of the building.
Shoukei-En:It is believed that this beautiful garden used to be below a lake where a dragon lived.
Kataoka-Sha:This shrine is famous for Lady Murasaki Shikibu, the author of The Tale of Genji, worshipping it for fulfilling her love.
Camphorwood Bridge (The Longevity Bridge) :This bridge is made from the fossil of a camphor tree, the symbol of longevity. Therefore, it is believed that your life will be extended every time you cross this bridge.

Kamo-Wakeikazuchi-no-Ookami:The deity of thunder and farming, who descended to Mt. Koyama, which is located in the north of the shrine.

Normal Days–200 yen for every 30 minutes (Entry is available from 6:00 to 22:00, exiting is available 24 hours)

Busy Days–1000 yen per day (From 9:00 to 16:00, exiting is available until 17:00)
