The 5 Popular Spots to Visit

Main Sanctuary:It is believed that the sacred water that wells up in front of the main sanctuary gives oracles of the dragon deity through paper fortune-telling strips
The Sacred Horse Statue:In Kyoto, people have historically dedicated black horse to pray for rain and white horse for good weather.
Rear Shrine:It is said one of the three major dragon veins (channels of energies that flow through mountains) in Japan lies under the sanctuary of Oku Miya. Therefore, the entire precinct is filled with strong healing energy.
The Aioi Cedar:The Aioi Cedar, which is estimated to have lived more than 1000 years, used to be two different cedar trees. However, the lower part of the two adjacent trees slowly became one to shape today’s Aioi Cedar. Therefore, it is believed that those who pray to this tree with their partner can enjoy a long life together like the two cedar trees.
Kifune River:Kifune River is the headstream of Kamo River, which runs through Kyoto City. Some restaurants prepare tables on top of the river so that their guests can enjoy the beauty and oneness with the river while having their meals.
