Hirano Shrine
Hirano Shrine is renowned for its cherry blossoms. In spring, more than 400 cherry blossom trees of approximately 60 varieties turn the sacred garden of the shrine into all pink. Hirano Shrine was built in 794, and has had deep relationship with the Japanese Imperial Family. The main enshrined deity of this shrine is the guardian deity of the Minamoto and Taira clans, the two elite clans that are famous for battling in the Genpei War.
